About
The Lessnau Lounge is the name of my first website I started in 1995 when I taught myself basic HTML and was playing around to see what I could actually create. It was an experimental site, however in many ways it was the start of my career on the web. I decided it was time to continue the legacy, besides, I think the name is pretty cool.
Back in 2003 I founded LinkAdage Text Link Ads which started the link selling gold rush, and a few years ago I created (and have since sold) LinkXL.com. Even though I have founded two major sites in the text link advertising space, this blog is not about buying and selling text links. I cover many topics that may help others like me who have broken free of the corporate world. As this website grows, the range of topics will also grow.
Currently, I am building out requirements for two new web based business models. One will be a very cool new way for bloggers to monetize their websites (because the one thing bloggers like to do more than write about themselves is make money). The second idea is a blog network unlike any seen before, this blog/social network is long term project that is in the early development stages.
I also have several affiliate related sites making money while I sleep because I like to take advantage of my ability to rank a site for just about anything (and, well, I like to make money while sleeping) – however, due to competitive reasons, those sites need to remain anonymous.
I am located near Detroit, Michigan. Honestly, I really hate Michigan except for the short boating season of June, July, and August. The weather sucks, the economy sucks, and local networking with other web savvy individuals is almost nil. Unfortunately, everyone is either employed by a company that is somehow related to the dieing domestic auto industry or unemployed.
Perhaps a future goal will be to come up with a way to make money bringing Michigan into the 21st century, but my goal of escaping this town may take precedence.
I graduated from Michigan State University and obtained my MBA and a MHA (Master of Health Care Administration) at Georgia State University.
