Social Media: How Big Is Your Posse?seodesignsolutions.com
10/15/2009
With social media hording eyeballs in the thousands capable of sending a barrage of traffic on a whim, marketers, business owners and individuals alike are all trying to get their two-cents in and cast a line to lure significant traffic to their website. How Big Is Your Posse? Whether that traffic converts or not is another topic in its entirety; however, the power to congregate and share unique ideas, websites, or entertainment is priceless for branding, exposure as well as commerce (under the right conditions).

Plane landed yesterday at 11am Vegas time. I know, it’s Pacific Time (PT) but I like the sound of “Vegas time” better. Will update more in the next few days about the trip here for BWE, but right now I want to talk about where we had our arrival night dinner. Last night, @TasteMGMGrand and FiAMMA Trattoria treated us to the most absolutely amazing Vegas dining experience. We all had our pick from the “Fall Tasting Menu” but on top of that Chef Carlos Buscaglia wanted us to have a true sampling of what FiAMMA is made of.

Wow this is MEGA! Gary Vaynerchuk interviewed by MLM pro Eric Worre. This is very good news for integrating attraction marketing with mlm online. This is the 4th part of the show so make sure to go back and watch all of the interviews with Gary if you love this one! His new book ‘Crush It,’ looks like a good follow up read to Tribes by Seth Godin. It is a huge turning point in MLM happening before our very eyes. Online MLM is going mainstream with social media.

Being the owner of blogengage I get to see the latest buzz and news within the blogosphere. I get it literally up to the minute. As bloggers submit their content I engage and read it daily. When I first found out about Darren Rowse and his new paid forum community Pro blogger Community Forums I wasn’t sure if it would be something I wanted to join. After the first 24 hours I realized this was going to be an amazing forum to market blogengage with. I’ve already gotten 7 or 8 new members and the traffic from my topic has grown large.
Derek Powazek on SEO Practicesstevenclark.com.au

Earlier this week Derek Powazek lashed out at the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) industry and I have to admit that he’s not wrong. Of course, in certain esoteric circumstances, there might be some bit of knowledge in there – but the vast majority of it is either obvious (and worthless) or dark hat (and you won’t win in the end). What frustrates me about the SEO industry is it seems to be based on the idea that some business-nerd in a suit is able to somehow make your site more relevant to customers, more valuable to the construct of the Web, or more salient to your audience.

Bob Cargill offered up a interesting Blog post on video about Seth Godin’s book The Dip and the importance of long term outlooks with Social media strategies. Watch the video blog below or visit the original post at his blog .
The key to sucess: DO more THINK lesszero2heroblogger.com
10/14/2009
You can’t simply will your business into existence. Darren Rowse, editor in chief of ProBlogger.net, recently talked about how he took his blog from a simple hobby to a full-time job . So whats the key to a successful business? Stop day dreaming and get to work. I’m guilty of sitting back and ‘thinking’ and planning about what I would like my blog to become, but there comes a point when you are doing more thinking than actually doing. The turning point for Darren came when his wife came him the ultimatum.
