The cables are all new and work on others so i know it is not the cables.

As far operating system upgrades go, Mac OS X Snow Leopard is a little odd for two reasons: 1.) Mozilla mobile team has just announced the availability of Fennec Alpha 3 for Windows Mobile. There are lot of new features and fixes, including improved start time, panning, compositor work, and support for a wider range of screen resolutions.
