I always wait for a week before applying any major upgrades to my main site because they sometimes introduce more problems than they solve. The only problem I have heard about is an issue with speed, but I haven’t seen any slowdown when testing that my social media page plugin worked. So I though I would update the blog via the QuickPress

Although you wont notice any difference on the face of it, Ive just installed Wordpress 2.7 and for me on the backend, it looks VERY different … and facebook. Once again Wordpress lead the way for blogging platforms, whilst incorporating the new ideas floating around. On top of all of this Wordpress is free!

I found a bug today with my newly installed Wordpress release 2.7, I normally write a batch of posts and then schedule them at regular intervals … the wordpress forums. What I did find is that if I marked the post ‘private’ and then change it back to ‘public

I’m pleased to say that Ozh has updated his Admin Menu plugin with a fix for the issue I blogged about a couple days ago. So as of a few minutes ago all the blogs I host have been upgraded to 2.7. Yay.

Don’t use any plugins that haven’t been tested with 2.7. For me it was WP-Amazon, which is a known issue on the WP 2.7 compatibility page in the Wordpress Codex. I couldn’t figure out the problem but on one of my blogs that I recently updated, I couldn’t get the upload/insert function to work properly. Instead
